Diana Djindjikhachvili
In our move to the Hague from Moscow, one of our greatest strokes of luck was being introduced to Diana. She is one of those teachers that you remember all your life. Teachers who impart not only their art, but their boundless love for it. Who teach you the value of practice and discipline and not giving up, even when, being 6 or 8 or 11, you would much rather play ball outside instead of the piano. And how it all pays off one day, not so much from the applause you get after a concert performance or winning a music competition (although that helps), but the sense of gratification and accomplishment of playing beautiful music beautifully.
The Russian school in arts is associated, apart from excellence, with merciless training, driving ambition and the crushing of personality. Diana retained from it only the excellence part. Mild-mannered but determined, she never raises her voice and yet she has the undivided attention and devotion of all her students. After watching her for 8 years now, I know it is because she gives all of herself to them and to music, and they feel it. I am not sure that my daughter will continue to play the piano into adulthood, but it does not matter. She is already a richer and better person for her piano education and will always enjoy music as only a musician can, thanks to Diana.
Ida Stosic
Excellent teacher.
Diana' s method is thorough and professional.
I am confident my son is learning properly how to read notes and distinguish the different tempos and tones of music.
Diana is passionate about piano and she transmits this successfully to her students.
She is sweet and strict at the same time. This works perfectly with my son who wasn' t too enthusiastic about piano at first and now quite enjoys it.
I love the choice of music pieces she makes! "
